I’ve been trying to figure out what I want to do with my site for a while. I finally decided to keep it pretty much the same. I just changed the header and all my galleries have been updated. It is SO hard to pick what images to put in my galleries. I swear, every single girl I have photographed this year is just so beautiful it’s making my job easier and harder (more images to edit) all at the same time.

I’m working on getting the last 5 sessions edited and blogged for you guys to see. Of course I always post a few from every session on facebook while I’m editing.

I’m working hard on getting caught up. Editing my nights away. Just thought I’d share one from a recent session.

This is Pacie, she is a doll and so sweet…and gorgeous might I add! She was the winner of our first contest!

 

I went to Nashville the other day for the first time since we moved. I’m so excited that our house is SO close to Nashville…even closer than Birmingham now. I’ve been thinking about expanding my biz to there this year. I’m super stoked! So many awesome places over there to shoot!

Looking back through old photos from when I first started…
it’s neat to see how my style has evolved and my skills have improved. I don’t know if I’ll ever be the photographer I want to be b/c I’m so critical of everything I do. I’m sure I’ll look back at the things I’m doing now in a year and wonder what in the world I was thinking! lol I’m constantly learning new things and experimenting in artistic ways which is why I think I love this job so much. I’m so thankful for my hubby that supports me and has allowed me to pursue my dreams.
I have a long way to go but for now, I’m lovin the journey . ♥

 

Annyyyywhooooo This was my second shoot with Leilani from a couple months ago.  We are working on some new stuff for this spring and summer and I’m really excited about it!!

Deloria did so great for never having done a photo shoot like this before, I’d definitely say she’s a natural! We got lucky with it not being windy at all but man it was freezing. You’d never know though because she did so good at hiding it. Awesome job girl!

And props to Tiffany (my makeup and hair girl) for sticking it out with Deloria’s crazy amount of hair!! Literally three heads of hair on this girl, and I thought I had a lot! lol

 

Valentines Day was pretty mellow for me and my hubs, just the usual around here other than a dinner date. Hope you all had a good one! I’m working on new branding and other exciting things this weekend to give my business a face lift. I can’t wait to share with you guys! <3

Seriously guys, Leilani is like the best model! And the sweetest! We had so much funnnnnnn.

And as always, something strange happens while I’m on a shoot with a model. This time it was a little scarier. We were under this tiny little tree and the whole time there was a snake right above Leilani! She even had her hands leaned back towards it and I swear it could have easily bitten her…

This photo is actually before we moved in right under where it was…we didn’t even know it was there until we walked away and were coming back to use the tree again.

Yikes!!

But luckily she didn’t get bit and we moved away from that area very quickly!

It was really hard to pick which ones to blog…I want to put all of them on here!! But that would be excessive so I’ll just do these….

So I’ve been working on this whole whimsical look book idea for a long time and I’ve finally put it all together. This was the first of the set…I think it turned out quite nice. I tried some new lighting techniques, some worked some didn’t. I love experimenting with new things! Of course it always helps when I have a great model too.
